How we estimate fit
Each item has a fixed rectangular space, shown by its dimensions. We try a small set of rotations and available positions in its assigned pocket. Items don’t compress or overlap. Free liters can be split into gaps, so an item may still need a larger pack. Sizes are nominal; the guide uses the clear compartment dimensions above.
